I completely trust the saying - “When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.” (Alexander Graham Bell)
I hav to admit though, sometimes I would like to be able to sit in one room for a little while before moving on to another.
A few weeks ago, Will and I went for a mid afternoon ramble along Bedford and Berry. He found some great art books someone had thrown away in the Village Voice dispenser. They are now sitting in my room.
I have a blog with almost three years worth of collected images. It started small. I created it purely to serve as a means to remove all the thousands of images I have pulled off of the wonderful World Wide Web. But people seem to enjoy it and that makes me happy. Having your brain and eyes pelted with brilliant images, moving or still, is never a bad thing. x

His shirt and blond locks radiated in the sunshine. Chris and Ethan Silverman have a record label called Terrible Records. TERRIBLE RECORDS BLOG

I prefer a visual journey over a written one, though I will not forsake the pen and pencil quite yet…

I take self portraits when I feel beautiful, happy, disastrous, when the light is too delicious to miss, when I am depressed, feel alone, when I am with someone I love, when I am inspired. Perfection is pointless. I have spots, pores, dry skin, hairs, tears, and teeth. You will see them.
I love a good camera phone, and over the past three months I have developed a huge affection for my iphone. It is my digital diary. Here is a smattering of self portraits to start.
